This is the 18th book in the series. It's very similar to the others with races, Gaby working, Bernie still having worries that her daughter will be taken away from her, an end-of-school party and a planned wedding that Gaby is expected to attend.The new stuff is Bernie's problem having a sort-of solution, Gaby's father's car being destroyed in an odd accident and Gaby planning to set up a sort-of snack place.
Somehow I didn't find this one as interesting as the others. I think losing some characters doesn't help and now that Gaby will be leaving school (except for a session of summer school) that whole area of interaction is gone. The book also ends on a dangerous cliffhanger which is similar to the ending of another one of the books.

An excellent addition to the Gaby series. Gaby in all her splendor on and off the race courses. She continues to excel in all aspects of her life with new adventures in the future.
Read the entire series in 5 days. Good story telling, feel for the characters, learn more about bike racing than most want to. ) (Yes, same review for all the books, since I liked them all, just not a writer to come up with a different review for 20 books.)
This is typical Ms. Bell story that can be enjoyed by almost all age groups - Gaby is really growing up in this episode. Enjoy!
As usual this Gaby book has me reading the entire book in a single sitting. The only breaks were for food and other needs. This means what a great book. Keep them coming...
Gaby has come out of her shell in a big way. Graduating from school, starting a new business, and more wonderful bicycle races.
Gaby still struggles with how she feels about Max, but it's pretty clear that she likes him more than she'll publicly admit.
