Moving on is hard to do. Especially when the ghost of a loved one is standing there. Especially when that ghost would approve and want the people involved to be happy. To move on without him. Samantha A Cole has done it again with this novella. In a short time frame she brings these two people to life making them real and complex and imperfect. For those that follow the Trident Series, this book is set apart from the series and shows how the teams take care of family. There isn't as much suspense in this one but that allows for a comfortable slower paced read all about falling in love. And yes moving on and finding happiness again. This is one series I will hate to see end. I have fallen in love with the entire crew.Product details

well-written romance novella that had me in tears more than once. A really good addition to the Trident Security series. Good characters who were best friends and came to love one another.
I"ve only recently discovered Samantha's books and I"m so glad I have. This was a very emotional book as it deals with Curt and Dana's relationship from being friends to coming a couple. Written very well and very easy to just get sucked into. I love this and am eagerly waiting for the next book in this series!
You will need tissues .... LOTS of tissues !!!!! We met Curt & Dana in previous books but really got to see them at the Start of Marco's book... Whiskey Tribute took me on such a roller-coaster of emotions, from flashbacks to moving on with life after the loss of the other half of your soul.. It was beautifully written & the ending was PERFECT !!!!
Curt and Dana has been friend for years as he was in service with her husband his best friend. Eric was killed while out jogging and all the SEAL team helped take care of her and the kids. As time went forward both Curt and Dana began to have feelings for one another . Can they have a happily ever after or will Eric's ghost stand in the way?
This story has just the right amount of angst. Curt and Dana make a great couple but are hesitant to become a "couple" because of Eric (her deceased husband and his best friend). I liked how they were not too quick to jump into things but ended up doing the right thing for everyone. Lots of action and plenty of heat. Another great read in the Trident series.
This one had me tearing up quite a bit. Curt loved Eric like s brother. When Eric is killed in a hit and run accident, the guys all take turns going to Iowa and helping where needed. Dana has lost her best friend, lover, husband, and father of their children. She wouldn't have made it through the funeral without Curt.
Curt has been trying to hide his feelings for Dana. Dana feels guilty for wanting to be with Curt. How will this affect the kids? What will everyone else think?
It's not often that love comes around more than once.
Dana is the widow of Eric, Eric was the last victim of the hired assassin killing Team 4 members.
Curt was Eric's best friend and he promised Eric that he would watch over Dana and their kids.
